Day 13
(Thursday)
So hey guysssss, how’s
life? Life’s good for us currently. Spent our Thursday morning having lessons. Our
lessons for each module can actually last up to 3 hours! Hahaha, there’s pros
and cons for it. Pros is that we can just focus that day mainly for this
subject while the cons is that we had to endure a good old 3 hours for an
individual module which will be very intensive. However, the lectures for now
are currently still not very demanding. The lecturer teaches at a rather slow
pace. They can take up to 2 or more lectures to finish a single chapter. Enough
of studying! After our lessons, we head over to the school cafeteria to grab
our lunch which provides the cheapest food in school! We are trying not to
spend so much as many of us had overspent our budget. HAHAHHAA. :p To be
honest, school food doesn’t taste as bad either! It was rather delicious too!
The cheapest food can cost 2500 won (SGD$3) and up to 3800 won (SGD$4.60). The food over here are actually rather
expensive but the portion is big so it’s worth it.
Afterward, we head
back to our dorm to rest because some of us had to meet our buddy to do some
admin stuffs! AND WE GOTTEN OUR SIM CARD LIKE FINALLY!! After searching up and
down and everywhere for the sim card. We found a store near our school that
sells sim card without passport!! Yayyyy. Like finally. It cost like 55,000 won
for 2GB plus free wifi plus free 40min outgoing call. It was around 5 plus when
we finished everything. So we decided to grab our dinner before heading back to
dorm. We chose Popeyes to see the difference between Singapore and Korea
standard. Turns out, we took about 15mins to order due to language barrier. The
process was rather funny. AHAHA. Overall, the food taste good and the price is
the same as sg. While some of the people who stayed in dorm called for food
delivery! As we were heading back to our dorm, we found some interesting place
in the school and decided to have a small photo-taking session because the
scenery is very very pretty. *.*
Day 14 (Friday)
As usual, we had our
Korean lesson in the morning while we proceed for our normal lesson class.
Afterwards, we decided to head to Homeplus (something like NTUC) to stock up on
our necessity and get more RAMENNNNNNNN. Yummy! Inside, at every corner there
is a food tasting booth so me (jiaqi) and Gerald went to all the booth and try
out everything. HAHAAH. We even visit some booth twice because it just simply
taste too delicious. While the rest went around playing with all the toys and
mess around.
After some grocery shopping, we head back to
our dorm to rest for tmr because we are going to do more SHOPPING AT
DONGDAEMUN!!! Woohoo!! Tata.
Day 15(Saturday)
So today is a happy
day because we are going shopping!! :D We met and had a quick lunch outside out
school before heading off to dongdaemun!
Finally, we arrived after an hour plus
of traveling. Sooo. Shopping starts right away. Before reaching any shopping
areas, we saw a LINE pop-up store and someone (Alex) who is so eggcited wants
to go! So we went to shop around and get some fluffy plush toy. Weeew.
Everything in the LINE store look so adorable!! Omg. Also, the prices are way
cheaper than in Singapore!!
Afterward, we visited the shopping centre nearby. Level
1-3 was women shopping area and level 4 was men shopping area so we split up!
Everything was so cheap! The prices can go down to 5000 won ($5 plus in sg) but
we preferred Gangnam underground shopping as the fashion at dongdaemun target
mostly towards working adults but still there is stores selling trendy
clothing! After only 45min, our guys came back to meet us because they doesn’t want
to continue shopping because all the store owners were so friendly to the
extent that they were scared. HAHAHA. The guys store owner were so welcoming
that the first thing they do is shake your hand and while shaking they will try
to pull you into their store!!! All we could do is laugh because the women
section store owner actions were actually opposite of them, it was very quiet
and peaceful while we browse through items. So after the guys got the shock of
their life, they stick to us while we continue to shop. We saw a shop selling
winter wear and we went over to take a look because soon winter will arrive!
The prices of the winter coat was priced at 98,000 won (SGD$100 plus) but here
comes out BARGAINING SKILLS. HAHAHA and our Korean lesson helped a bit too. We
mentioned that we were students in Korean even though they can talk in Chinese.
Btw, most store owners at the shopping centre can speak mandarin so it was very
convenient! So after much persistent, we got it at the price of 50,000 won (SGD$60).
Can’t say that it’s a steal but it’s definitely cheaper than in Singapore and
the quality is very good too! So it’s a bargain for us!
While walking on the
streets, do you know who we saw?!?! We saw Yoona!!!! OMG
Just kidding guys, it’s
just Carine in her newly brought mask. HAHA. The stars are always in this
type of attire, so we tried to mimic.
We went on to another
shopping centre to shop and went to Krispy Kreme to rest! THE DONUTS ARE SO
CHEAP. The glazed donuts cost $2.20 in Singapore while it only cost $1.20 in
Korea???? HAHHA
Soon, the day had
past so quickly and its dinner time! We decided to try Lotteria (Their local fast-food
restaurant). Their fries was delicious but we prefer Macdonald burger over
Lotteria. Sat around to chat non-stop. It’s definitely fun to travel around in
big groups and we won’t feel so lonely in a foreign country.
Everyone was dead
tired from the whole day shopping trip. This is just the beginning. HAHAHA.
Stay tune and goodnight! XOXO
Love,
